Walden University Accreditation
Walden University 's M.S. program in Nursing is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), a national accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

Doctor of Education (Ed.D.)

Walden’s Ed.D. program has two specializations—Teacher Leadership and Administrator Leadership for Teaching and Learning. Both are semester-based programs designed for educators who want to continue their practice while assuming leadership roles in their schools and communities.

Specializations
  • Administrator Leadership for Teaching and Learning

The Administrator Leadership for Teaching and Learning specialization is designed for administrators and teachers who want to increase their ability to influence and transform their educational organization. The curriculum has been developed to focus on building a collaborative organization—a new and innovative model in administrator leadership. Graduates from this Ed.D. program will be able to integrate theory and practice to impact both their career and the lives of their students.

  • Teacher Leadership

The Teacher Leadership specialization is designed for educators who want to continue teaching while assuming leadership roles in their school and community. It focuses on the "educator as leader" and empowers experienced master educators to effect change and improve student learning. The program is based on standards developed by the Interstate School Leaders Licensure Consortium and the National Staff Development Council.
