How it works.
With easy-to-use Internet access software, you’ll retrieve lectures, questions and assignments from your instructor then review them off-line. Because the information is all in text form, you’ll never miss an important point. You’ll have access to a full range of online research libraries and services. You’ll also interact with other successful professionals, sharing ideas, debating issues, and learning from their experience. This upgrades the quality of your work before you conduct a more formal, academic review with the instructor. Throughout the class, your instructor will provide guidance and feedback on your progress.
Work at your own speed, on your own time.
The Online program is designed to benefit working professionals in a number of ways. Classes are offered one at a time, in sequence. There are no semesters, so students can begin a course of study any month of the year. A student can concentrate on one subject at a time, and when a class is completed he or she can move on to the next one until all degree requirements are met.
Each online class lasts five or six weeks. A student can sign on any hour of the day or night, taking part at times that best fit his or her schedule. While this flexibility is unprecedented, it requires greater than average discipline and does not allow a student to "coast." Students devote an average of fifteen to twenty hours a week to their studies.
The Bachelor of Science in Business (BSB) program promotes the skills required to formulate short- and long-range business plans and make effective business decisions. It also emphasizes the personal and professional skills needed for effectively managing organizational needs. These include values clarification, needs assessment, group facilitation, and leadership.
The Master of Business Administration develops students for the role managers play in defining business problems, assessing information, considering alternatives, and choosing the best solution. In our masters degree online programs, we look at the manager as the hub of a wheel, with informational spokes radiating from that hub representing specific disciplines, such as finance, law, marketing, operations, information systems, etc.
