The University of Florida recognizes the trend that an increasing number of engineering practitioners require an M.S. degree. In order to fulfill our state, national, and international mission of higher education, the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering is pleased to offer an online M.S. degree program in Solid Mechanics and Design.

This program is specially designed to meet the unique needs of engineering students working in a corporate environment who desire to develop advanced skills and problem solving capabilities related to solid mechanics and structural design.

The Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering faculty offering the distance learning program are respected researchers in analytical and computational solid mechanics and design, and tailor lectures to the most modern engineering concepts. Engineers who complete the Solid Mechanics and Design program will gain confidence in the use of state-of-the-art engineering design tools to develop creative solutions to the most challenging structural analysis and design problems.
