RN to BSN Degree Completion Program

The National American University RN to BSN program is designed for working RNs with an associate degree or diploma certificate, building on the student’s past education and experience. This program offers a flexible and practical way for RNs to expand their knowledge and prepare for leadership positions in a variety of health care settings. It also provides the skills and credentials necessary to pursue graduate education.

Requirements
  1. Students must be graduates of an Associate Degree in Nursing or a Diploma in Nursing program.
  2. Students must have a valid RN license.
  3. Students must have a 2.5 overall GPA.
Educational Goals for the Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing
The program will:
  1. Develop the student’s cultural competence in practicing nursing within a diverse society.
  2. Provide an overview of health care accounting, reimbursement, legal statutes, and information technology skills needed for managerial nursing positions.
  3. Develop the student’s critical thinking skills to improve professional nursing practice and health care outcomes.
  4. Expose the student to nursing and health care philosophy and theories necessary for collaborative and interdisciplinary leadership.
  5. Provide students with an understanding of the professional nursing role in the health care team.

U.S. and Canada only.
