The Insurance and Risk Management Program offers you a foundation of liberal studies and a core of business courses, combined with a concentration of 9 courses in insurance and risk management.


The Insurance and Risk Management Program has been developed in conjunction with the Insurance Advisory Council composed of industry leaders. Since 1988, the insurance industry has invested in excess of $1,800,000 in ISU insurance studies, including:
  • Professional development for students and faculty
  • Faculty research
  • Program development and operation

Course Delivery - Distance Learning Option
  • All required courses in the insurance and risk management major are offered via the Internet.
  • All courses in the optional accounting minor are offered via the Internet.
  • General education requirements can be fulfilled by a combination of course work earned through the University's Distance Learning Program, the Indiana College Network, and your local college or university.
  • On-campus visits are NOT required.
