Master of Health Education
|
The Master of Health Education (M.H.Ed.) degree will prepare the student to be a practitioner and leader in the field of health education.
This online program is designed to meet the needs of the busy professional. It is a 56 credit hour; 14-course program with five concentration areas:
- Leadership
- Research
- Teaching
- Medical Education
- Build Your Own
The M.H.Ed. program is designed with an emphasis on teaching health educators to use a systematic process based on learning theory to plan, design, implement, and evaluate effective program and course offerings. The M.H.Ed. program provides students with in-depth pedagogical training, enhancing their skills and thus enabling them to become better teachers, mentors, clinicians, and leaders. The audience for this program is varied by design and includes physicians, physician assistants, nurses, and other practitioners, as well as faculty and staff who work in the healthcare field.
This program includes a one week residency program designed to help each student complete their electronic portfolio and their final terminal project. This course is required for graduation and will be offered during the final term of the program of study.

The School of Health Management welcomes out of state & international students. The Advanced Physician Assistant program is for U.S. licensed Physician Assistants.

They offer "year-round" enrollment. Students may start their graduate program in any of the academic quarters and may take offered courses either in the fall, winter, spring, or summer quarters.
