Doctor of Health Education

The Doctorate of Health Education (D.H.Ed.) program complements the University’s mission of encouraging its constituencies to become leaders to improve community health and wellness with a comprehensive appreciation of the interaction of body, mind, and spirit, while helping to create the best healthcare educators in the world.

This program is designed to challenge students to examine the current state of healthcare education and their individual roles and responsibilities within it. Graduates will be recognized as innovative leaders in educating their patients, students, and peers, as well as achieving excellence in policy development, program design, management, implementation, and evaluation of local issues.

The D.H.Ed. program provides five unique entry points for students in various stages of academic preparation from bachelors to terminal degrees. In keeping with the philosophy of lifelong learning, students may return at any time after graduation and complete additional predefined concentrations or build one that fits their specific needs from the courses provided.
